Come join Jim Wodark in beautiful Carmel, CA and see how to strengthen the design of your paintings so that they look more like what you intended. Discover several ways to compose a painting as well as how to use Values, Color, Edges, Line and Shape to direct the viewer in your painting.
The course will be a combination of studio and Plein Air painting using and honing the skills and techniques that Jim presents. He will discuss and demonstrate several ways to compose landscape paintings. The more you understand these ideas and methods, the better your painting will reflect the story and emotion that you wish to communicate.
BIO
Jim Wodark is a Nationally recognized artist and has been plein air painting for 20 years with many National and regional awards. He has been written up in Southwest Artist Magazine, Plein Air Magazine, Western Art Collector Magazine and Fine Art Connoisseur Magazine. He is a Signature Member of Laguna Plein Air Painters, an Artist Member of the California Art Club, a member of the Oil Painters of America and the American Impressionist Society.
